All Possible Futures and Devolver Digital just released a brand-new gameplay trailer for their highly anticipated title The Plucky Squire. And to be very honest, it looks like it came straight out of a children’s storybook.
The combination of 3D platforming and 2D dungeon-crawler is so seamless and charming that we cannot stop our eyes from staring at it. Take a look at yourself right below to get a glimpse of the amazing adventure ahead.
In The Plucky Squire, you will follow the magical story of Jot and his friends. They are all characters from a storybook, however, they soon discover that there is a whole three-dimensional world beyond the cover.
Things become worse when the evil Humgrump discovers that he is the villain of the book and that he will be defeated by the Camp of Good. To avoid this outcome, he throws heroic Laius out of the book, changing history forever.
Travel across various environments, and fight your way through 2D and 3D worlds. Solve a variety of puzzles, fight badgers in boxing, travel in jetpacks, and much more. Numerous challenges are fun and surprising at the same time. See yourself becoming the hero of a book right before your eyes.
The Plucky Squire will be released this year on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch.
