Latest Diablo 4Â Patch Addresses Player Concerns, Boosting Seneschal Construct AbilitiesÂ
Blizzard has rolled out the highly-anticipated 1.3.1 update for Diablo 4, responding directly to player feedback on Season 3’s Seneschal Construct. Launched on January 23, Season 3 introduced Vaults and a customizable robotic companion, the Seneschal Construct. However, players quickly expressed disappointment, deeming the construct’s power inadequate and its impact barely noticeable.
In a swift response, Blizzard made initial adjustments on January 26 to ease the upgrade process for the construct’s abilities. Despite this, the baseline power of the companion remained a contentious issue. With the release of the 1.3.1 update, Blizzard has overhauled the Seneschal Construct, significantly enhancing its abilities to make it a formidable force in the game.
The patch notes reveal substantial buffs to several damaging abilities of the Seneschal Construct. Gyrate, Pummel, and Impale now deal 30% more damage, while Bushwhack, Focus Fire, and Lightning Bolt see a 20% increase in damage. Firefly and Tempest receive a more modest 10% damage boost. Notably, the healing ability, Reconstruct, has undergone major improvements, now healing for 32% of maximum life at level 1 (up from 22%) and increasing to 50% at level 10 (up from 40%).
Beyond damage adjustments, support skills have also seen enhancements, with Burning, Electrocution, Bleeding, Frigid, Poison, and Dusk Support damage increased to 60% of the supported skill’s damage.
The remainder of the 1.3.1 update addresses bug fixes related to Season 3. Additionally, Blizzard has tackled the Vampiric affix, a challenging enemy modifier. The healing capability of monsters with Vampiric has been significantly reduced, offering a more balanced combat experience. Blizzard plans to introduce a unique visual effect for ranged attacks from Vampiric enemies in a future update to enhance player identification.
Diablo 4’s Season 3 is scheduled to run until April, with further excitement on the horizon as players anticipate the first expansion, Vessel of Hatred. Set to launch later this year, the expansion will see players confronting Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred, in an iconic location from Diablo 2.
