Yatagarasu Enter the Eastward Reveal Coming to CES 2024

The Fight Continues 

An unfinished story needs a sequel. Often this will include new adventures, new characters and higher stakes. Luckily for this fighting adventure, that’s exactly what fans can expect from this sequel. Today, MadCatz Global Limited are happy to announce that their 2D fighting game, Yatagarasu Enter the Eastward, is arriving to Steam in Q1 of 2024 after a reveal at CES 2024. The sequel to the teams first game, ‘Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm, the game introduces players to a whole new adventure in a new parallel world. Importantly, this new installment introduces all new characters while maintaining the 2D pixel graphics and simple mechanics that made the first game. 

Yatagarasu Enter the Eastward allows players to step into an alternate reality of the Yatagarasu universe. In this universe, a new dawn rises over Japan. However,  a Japanese nationalist revolutionary group has swiftly been seizing Japan, including the Prime Minister’s residence. Yet, not all hope is lost. A secret group, known as Yatagarasu, launches a plan to assassinate key figures in the revolutionary movement. This is where the player comes in. 

Of course, Yatagarasu Enter the Eastward includes all of the features of the first game. For instance, players can expect the straightforward fighting system of the previous game. Yet, beyond the normal gameplay features the game includes some key new features. Players can look forward to a commentary system that functions with the action of the enhanced netcode of the online battles. 

Yatagarasu Enter the Eastward is releasing on Steam in early 2024. More information is available on MadCatz’s website. Additionally, the game is set to be revealed at CES 2024 January 9th-12th.
