Featuring the “American Nightmare”
Four decades is no short amount of time. In fact, that’s a lot of wrestling. We have seen heroes rise and fall, villains emerge, and stories reach their apex. Now, it’s time to celebrate that. Today, 2K is happy to announce the next installment of their hit WWE video game franchise, WWE 2K24, is releasing in March of 2024. Featuring new innovations on all levels, the game invites players to step into a world that highlights the 40 years of WrestleMania and celebrates the world of the WWE with a roster of over 200 Superstars and Legends of the past and present.
Of course, a new WWE game is not complete without a new cover. This year, the Standard Edition of the game features “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes on the cover. While the Deluxe Edition hosts Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair the first dual woman cover ever.
Importantly, WWE 2K24 features Incredibly realistic graphics and improved animations. In fact, the game has over 90% of the facial features updated. Additionally, players can look forward to new game modes and an updated MyRise mode. For instance, now players can take part in four new match types like Special Guest Referee, Ambulance Match, Casket Match, and Gauntlet Match. Furthermore, the new 2K Showcase of the Immortals adds a new historical experience that allows players to play through the most iconic WWE moments in its 40 years of history.
Launching players from recorded footage right into gameplay with 2K’s distinctive Slingshot Tech, the game allows players to live history. Of course, some legendary famous are going to be making an appearance from Hulk Hogan, to the Rock, and Andre the Giant, be ready for history.
WWE 2K24 the Deluxe Edition and Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition are releasing on March 5th, 2024. The Standard Editions will release on March 8th. The game will be out on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
