Haikuna takes place inside the classical fictional world of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Don Quixote. The challenge is to teleport through these tales to uncover the words of haikus written during the Nanboku-chō, Edo, Genroku, and Meji periods in Japan.
Enhanced by captivating dreamscape audio, you interact with yōkai by clicking on them, unveiling the hidden words. Each clicked word either transports you directly to that term or teleports you through its associated haiku word. Clicking a word may also expose a hidden yōkai.
Hidden yōkai introduces temporal distortions or presents other obstacles in the game. As you progress, the chances of their appearance increase. However, t the challenge they pose can be canceled out or mitigated with the right magic.
