Prison City Will Blast Its Way Onto Consoles Next Week

Retroware and Programancer just announced that Prison City will launch on consoles next week. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on 16 November. Moreover, the PC version is already out on Steam and Epic Games Store.

Prison City is an action-packed side-scrolling shooter that takes place in the dystopian city of Detroit. Techno-terrorists have infiltrated the place and seized control of it. You will step inside the shoes of Hal Bruzer, a former cop, and take down these criminals. And ultimately bring an end to the Techno-Terrorists’ reign.

The game is a homage to the classic action movies and games from the 80s and 90s. It has tight mechanics and intricate level design. Players are equipped with chakrams and grenades to battle through various levels and defeat the bosses. There are tons of hidden upgrades to discover as well.

It features customizable gameplay and difficulty, a “Boss Rush’ mode for players to compete for the best time. Along with an amazing retro soundtrack by Raddland Studios.
