Wargroove 2 is a turn-based fantasy strategy game inspired by classic titles like Advance Wars. It is a sequel to the 2019 title Wargroove. The story takes place three years after the events of the previous game. An ambitious foreign faction with forbidden technologies called the Faahri Republic threatens the peace of Aurania. The player must battle his way through 3 Campaigns following 1 interweaving story.
The game still maintains the charming pixel art and combat system of the prequel. However, there are new features and improvements. The developer has added new commanders to the list and five new unit types to master and engage with. There is even an all-new Groove system. Each commander now possesses a unique skill that can be supercharged to unleash a powerful attack.
They have also introduced a roguelike mode called Conquest. Additionally, the game supports co-op and multiplayer modes, for battles locally or online for up to four players.
