Immerse in the World of Upheaval
The solo developer Alex Leone is launching the demo version of his game Upheaval on Steam today. It is a text-based open-world fantasy adventure roguelike that is heavily inspired by tabletop RPGs.
Players must explore the wilderness near a remote village and track down magic treasures, aid or disrupt factions, and match wits with an enigmatic Magician. They must master the secrets of the ever-changing world within 30 in-game days at a time.
The demo version will allow players to experience the first 15 days only before sending them to the magician. That being said, everyone can replay it again and again to find out more new secrets and strategies. But be very careful of your choices as it has direct consequences in the game.
Additionally, the game features tons of activities that you can enjoy with complete freedom. This includes staying at the tavern, fishing, or even ignoring everyone and just doing your own thing.
