Swords to Plough-Shears
Feudal Japan was not all violence and battles. Of course, as with all medieval societies, farmers were the backbone of everything. It is hard to have a successful empire if everyone is starving. Luckily, for those of you who have a green thumb and have begun their journey into feudal Japan, there’s a big change coming. Today, Superkami Games and Toplitz Productions announced a major new update coming to their life sim, Sengoku Dynasty, arriving in stages starting on November 7th. The update, titled the Farming Update, allows players to truly live a farmer’s life in ancient Japan. Of course, a press release provides more details. Additionally, a new trailer gives players a glimpse of the update in action.
Sengoku Dynasty places players in feudal Japan where they must choose their own path in life. Will they become a warrior? A monk? A simple merchant? Or, with the upcoming update, will they truly live the life of a farmer? The update is seeing a myriad of new crop types introduced to the game from garlic to wasabi. Importantly, players will also have the tools to grow these new plants. For instance, players can now use a hoe, a seed bag, and more. Additionally, players have the opportunity to build different types of fields. Meaning they can have both land and water-based fields.
Of course, players can get a glimpse of Sengoku Dynasty’s new update in the new trailer. Check out the trailer below.
Sengoku Dynasty is out now on Steam Early Access. So, are you ready to build your farming legacy?
