Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection to Include More Titles

Jurassic Park Fans Will Get a Bigger Bang for their Buck

Limited Run Games has announced the addition of two more titles to the Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection. The collection, which previously included the NES, Game Boy, and SNES versions (where applicable) of Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues, will now feature the highly popular Sega Genesis version of the former game, as well as another Genesis title, Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition. Both games, developed by BlueSky Software in 1993 and 1994, offer side-scrolling action and platforming gameplay. They were well-received during their initial release, praised for their visuals, sound effects, and the intelligence of the dinosaur enemies.

The newly added Genesis titles will come with all the previously-announced features of the collection, including in-game maps and save states, all packaged in the Carbon Engine. Josh Fairhurst of Limited Run Games took to Twitter to express his gratitude, admitting that the negotiation process for acquiring the necessary licenses for these two titles took a very long time. The inclusion of these Genesis games further enhances the collection, and fans are excited to see them added to the lineup.

The Classic Games Collection is available for pre-order in various formats, including region-free physical carts for the Nintendo Switch, region-free physical discs for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and a Prehistoric Edition for both the Switch and PS5.
