Loooooong Sword
Thursday’s State of Play didn’t show us very much that we were not already preparing for, but it was a good way to rev up excitement for some of the biggest games on their way. We learned the early 2024 release date for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and the slick items included in the Collector’s Edition.
The Collector’s Edition contains codes for several DLC items, but the big ticket item is the 19″ statue of Sephiroth. He stands atop a stone pillar while the ground burns below him. His one wing is extended and he holds his iconic Masamune behind him. The wing can be detached.
DLC items include the Moogle Trio Summoning Materia, Magic Pot Summoning Materia, Reclaimant Choker accessory, Orchid Bracelet accessory, and Midgar Bangle Mk II accessory.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Deluxe Edition includes an artbook, soundtrack, and steelbook case. These items are also included in the Collector’s Edition. If you have save data on your console for Remake/Intergrade, you will automatically get the Leviathan Summoning Materia (Remake) and Rumah Summoning Materia (Intergrade).
In this stage of the story, Cloud and his friends will be journeying across the Planet in search of Sephiroth. He is joined by Tifa, Barret, Aerith, and Red XIII. Along the way, they will meet Yuffie, Cait Sith, and Vincent. We haven’t seen Cid yet, so maybe Square Enix will reveal him at a later date. Either that or in the next game.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be coming out on February 19th, 2024 for PS5.
