Copycat is a wholesome narrative-driven game about rejection, belonging, and the true meaning of home. The game follows an intimate, magical, and hopeful Australian story that cherishes the human-pet bond. Players take on the role of Dawn, a skeptical shelter cat who actually believes that she is a wild cat. She often plans to escape as soon as she sees an opportunity.
When Olive, her new owner enters her life, Dawn starts to have a second thought. Olive is a lonely Aussie mourning the disappearance of her beloved pet. With time, Dawn and Olive develop a new friendship as two broken hearts mending each other.
However, everything changes when Olive falls ill and a jealous stray cat steals Dawn’s place in the household. Dawn is forced outside on the streets. She must wander alleyways, fences, and rooftops in an attempt to learn the true meaning of home.
The game has a colorful visual that looks fresh and the themes are dark and emotional. It features full voice acting with hours of dialogue from a cast of talented artists. It also has an original music score by Daniel Bunting.
