The indie game developer President Studios is inviting all the gamers to take part in the open playtest of Celestial Empire. It will start on 1st October 2023 and will go on until the developer has received all the necessary feedback. Moreover, it is open to everyone for free. Celestial Empire is an upcoming city-building game based in ancient China. Players will take on the role of a governor tasked with building and managing a thriving city. They will need to balance the needs of their citizens, the demands of the emperor, and the challenges of the natural world.
The developers have worked closely with historians and cultural experts to ensure that the game is as authentic as possible. This includes architecture, environment, and gameplay mechanics. So, almost all buildings in the game are based on real, historical models of ancient Chinese buildings.
