Nintendo has revealed that the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe European Championships 2023 are set to commence this week. The qualifying round will kick start on 19 August 2023. This beloved game offers a thrilling mix of classic characters, exciting tracks, and chaotic multiplayer battles, all enhanced for the Nintendo Switch.
The official Nintendo UK page gave a glimpse of this tournament back in June 2023. But they did not mention any further information at that time.
The grand final for the Nintendo European Championship is scheduled for the weekend of October 7th and 8th. The event will take place at VILCO in Bad Vilbel, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. This tournament will ultimately determine who will become the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe champion of Europe.
To participate in the qualifiers, players with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership need to select the Tournament option within the game. This involves accessing the Online Play section, then proceeding to Tournaments, followed by selecting Search by Code and entering the designated tournament code.
During the qualifiers, competitors will accumulate points according to their placement at the conclusion of races. Once completed, the grand final event will feature the top eight highest-scoring players from each match securing their positions.
