Hellboy Web of Wyrd Release Date Is Out
The official release date trailer for Hellboy Web of Wyrd has finally been showcased at Gamescom 2023. It is an upcoming roguelite beat ’em up game.
The game features an original story created with the help of Dark Horse Comics. It was developed by Upstream Arcade and published by Good Shepherd Entertainment.
Players step in the shoes of Hellboy to investigate a missing BPRD agent. This however leads into the depths of the Wyrd. The game will arrive on October 4th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The art style of Hellboy Web of Wyrd remains true to Mike Mignola’s original masterful creations. Just like in the comics, the game embarks Hellboy on a series of remarkably diverse and entirely distinct adventures. While each narrative maintains its individuality, they all interconnect with the enigmatic heritage of The Butterfly House.
Constructed in 1962 under the guidance of occultist Pasquale Deneveaux, The Butterfly House transcends its status as a mere dwelling and also functions as a portal.
Using occult ley-energies as its foundation, its architects designed its strange angles and non-Euclidean geometries with a singular foul purpose: to open doorways into a terrible and fascinating dimension known as The Wyrd.
Players will engage in direct confrontations against a variety of horrifying creatures and homunculi while delving into the domains within the Wyrd. The developer meticulously designed the combat system to present demanding battles that motivate players to comprehend patterns, evade, deflect, and, naturally, pummel their foes until they fade into oblivion.
