Simon the Sorcerer: Origins Casting Spells in 2024

Waiting for a Little Longer

After thirty years of waiting, what’s a little longer for such an iconic hero? After three decades, Leonardo Interactive and Smallthing Studios are bringing a Golden Era hero from the 90s back to the world of gaming with the upcoming release of Simon the Sorcerer: Origins. Arriving now in 2024 on all platforms, the game aims to capture the point-and-click nostalgia of a bygone time, with some modern sensibilities. Combining old and new is the purpose as this prequel tells players exactly what happened just before the events of the original game. Importantly, an official teaser trailer gives players a glimpse of the game and all of its magic.

Simon the Sorcerer

Simon the Sorcerer: Origins invites players to step into the robes of the titular character. Interestingly enough, as Simon in this new adventure, players will be able to choose to play through the adventure in two ways. Either the classic point-and-click or a brand new way modernized for today’s systems. Both ways to play invite players on a journey of humor, puzzles, and magic as they make their way through a fantastic world.

Furthermore, Simon the Sorcerer: Origins features a soundtrack by none other than singer/songwriter Rick Astley. The soundtrack alongside the distinctive art style and gameplay aims to provide a unique experience for players new and old. Of course, players can get a look at the game’s art style and gameplay in the new teaser trailer. Check out the trailer below.

Simon the Sorcerer: Origins is coming to PC and consoles in 2024. Players can currently wish list the game on Steam.
