Get ready to lock and load. In a world full of murderous enemies, violence really is the answer. Lucky for you, there are a lot of guns. Today, Northwood Gameworks is excited to announce their first title top-down shooter roguelike, The Gun is Good. Currently in development, the game introduces players to an energetic and fast-paced shooter where players battle thousands of enemies at one time. A press release provides more details on the game and its gameplay loop. Additionally, an action-packed trailer gives gamers a glimpse of what they can expect.Â
The Gun is Good invites players to enter the strange dimension known only as The Astral. Here, players will find themselves going up against thousands of enemies that want to destroy them. Of course, The Astral is procedurally generated meaning each venture into it will appear differently. Additionally, each venture into this strange dimension allows players to loot different guns which they can upgrade to better cut through swathes of enemies. Importantly, the combinations of modifications players can make to their guns are seemingly limitless. Furthermore, players can use runes of power they find to upgrade their characters, their guns, and even their ammo. All of this in an attempt to get back home.Â
