No Umbrellas Allowed Turning a Profit On Consoles This Year

Let It Pour

Welcome to the dystopian future. The rain makes the populace docile and greed is a crime. As such, running a shop tends to be a pretty illegal form of business. Yet, people want things, so it’s up to you to provide. Today, indie publisher Digerati and developer Hoochoo Game Studios are happy to announce their shop-management sim, No Umbrellas Allowed, is coming to consoles later in 2023. Releasing for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series the game introduces players to a unique dystopian world. Of course, the console release follows an already successful release on Steam.

No Umbrellas Allowed

No Umbrellas Allowed invites players to step into the shoes of a shop owner in charge of Darcy’s. Of course, the player’s goal is to sell their stock of second-hand items. Seems simple enough. However, there is a catch. In this world, greed is a crime. Additionally, human emotion is suppressed through a drug mixing in with the rain. Of course, this combination makes for a curious world where selling your used trinkets isn’t always the easiest. Especially when no umbrellas are allowed.

Players will run the shop alongside a loud-mouthed robot. Together, you will try to make money, raise the shop’s reputation, and avoid unwanted attention from the authorities. Of course, players can get a look at the console version of the game in a new announcement trailer. Check out the trailer below.

No Umbrellas Allowed is releasing for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles later this year. Currently, the game is available on Steam.
