Must’ve Been the WindÂ
It’s just about time for you to step into the most rust-covered post-apocalypse you can imagine. However, in this wasteland, you’re far from human. Today, Wrenchpunk Games is happy to announce that their stealth adventure game, Gust of Wind, is releasing onto Steam Early Access on July 31st. Introducing players to a world of rust and mutant Gulls, players embark on an adventure to save the last bastion of good in the world. A press release provides more details on the game and its gameplay mechanics. Additionally, a new trailer shows off exactly what players can expect from this new world.Â
Gust of Wind places players into the feathers of a mutant gull in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The gulls of the player’s village are battling for survival amidst the rust-covered wasteland. However, a faction known as the redscarves are hell-bent on taking over the continent. Using pneumatic weapons, the player’s village is the last bastion of freedom. Yet, the player and a crew of others are sent to get a working compressor in hopes of keeping the village alive.Â
Importantly, Gust of Wind focuses on stealth action gameplay. Interestingly, players will be able to sneak, climb or fight their way through small, open environments. Of course, even in dialogue options the secrecy and stealth of the game shines. If things go wrong, you aren’t useless. Players are able to use objects to fight their way out of rough situations.
