Earth Day is right around the corner and everyone finds their own ways to celebrate our planet. From shutting off lights to conserve energy, to recycling initiatives, and more. Even some of the biggest gaming companies in the world are celebrating the day with their own initiatives. Today, Xbox is happy to announce their newest innovation in green technology: the Xbox Wireless Controller – Remix Special Edition. Importantly this new controller is releasing just in time for Earth day and is bringing with it a host of green qualities that sperate it from older models. The Xbox Wireless Controller- Remix Special Edition is bringing a uniqueness to controllers like never before. Building the controller out of recovered plastics with one-third of it made from regrind and reclaimed materials ensures a individual feel to each controller. Of course, the process of regrind also ensures that the controller will maintain its durability and performance.
The controller itself includes a rechargeable battery pack as well. Of course, the battery pack is in coordination with the material of the controller and overall design of it to use less waste. Overall, the color scheme of the Remix Special Edition controller was drawn from natural landscapes, using earth-tone colors to create a patchwork effect on the controller.
The Xbox Wireless Controller Remix Special Edition is available for pre-order in select Xbox markets worldwide for $99.99 CAD. The controller will release on April 18th, 2023.
