The Approaching Storm for Monster Hunter Rise

The world of Monster Hunter Rise is growing once again. The cataclysm is upon you, hunters. New monsters await. Today, Capcom is happy to unveil the newest update for their hit RPG Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Unleashing on April 20th, the update is introducing a host of new content to the game from two new bosses to changes to research quests and more. Of course, a press release provides more details on Update 5. Additionally, a new trailer for Update 5 shows off all that is to come.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak reintroduces players to the mysterious jungle. Of course, in the vein of Monster Hunter, players will face off against massive beasts with a variety of weapons. Now, players can look forward to facing off against even more dangerous foes that are arriving to the jungle. These two new monsters are Risen Shagaru Magala and the Looming Calamity itself, Amatsu. Importantly, Amatsu is a fearsome elder dragon that can control the very weather itself. 

However, there is more to look forward to than just the arrival of Amatsu. Two Risen Elder Dragons will be added to Anomaly Research Quests, an update is coming to the Melding Pot, new Special Investigations were unveiled, and even more Event Quests are arriving with the update. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is out now on PC. The DLC will release for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation®5, and PlayStation®4 on April 28, 2023. Furthermore, players can  April Digital Event can be found on the official Monster Hunter™ YouTube channel on the 20th.
