The Trials Hits Early Access
Horror is making its return. This time, you’re the test subject. Prepare to enter the world of Outlast yet again, in a most terrifying experience. Today, Red Barrel is excited to announce the Early Access release date for their upcoming horror game, The Outlast Trials. Introducing a whole new way to play in the universe of Outlast, the game adds the capability to survive a nightmare, with friends. A press release provides more details on the game. Additionally, a new Early Access trailer gives players a glimpse at the hell that awaits them in the trials.Â
The Outlast Trials places players, once again, in the clutches of the shadowy Murkoff Corporation. Imprisoned in a top secret facility players will endure a series of horrific physical and mental challenges. Importantly, this time you don’t have to face these challenges by yourself. Either alone or with up to three friends players can try to escape with your lives and sanity intact.Â
Of course, the Early Access announcement is following last year’s Closed Beta test. The test proved extremely popular with over 1 million players taking part. A total time of 35 years was spent in the Closed Beta. Obviously something is going well in these trials. You can check out the Outlast Trials Early Access trailer for a better look at the game.Â
