The Howler ArrivesÂ
The surface of Fortuna III is about to get a lot more dangerous. The sound of wingbeats and screaming grows louder. It’s true, the Howler has arrived. Today, developer Yager is happy to unveil the newest season of their PVPVE extraction shooter, The Cycle: Frontier. Of course, the new season is bringing a host of new content from changes to weapons, to quality of life changes, and of course the newest PVE monster: The Howler. A press release provides more details on the update. Additionally, the Season 3 launch trailer gives players a better look at the update.Â
The Cycle: Frontier places players above, and on, the dangerous planet of Fortuna III. Your goal is to gather as many resources as possible and escape with your life intact. When everything on the entire planet wants you dead, this isn’t an easy task. Of course, it’s about to get a lot more dangerous in Season 3 with the introduction of the Howler. Importantly, the Howler poses a brand new threat to prospectors, turning the very sky above them into a threat. Yet, don’t worry, you’ll have a whole new arsenal of weaponry to deal with the threats coming your way.Â
The Season 3 update is bringing more than just the horrific Howler to the table. Players can expect more MKII weapon variations, with better attachments and power levels, to appear on the surface of Fortuna III. Additionally, players can look forward to an updated tutorial system and a revamped Prospect Station hub zone.
