Sonic Frontiers DLC Sights, Sounds, and Speed Arrives This Week

Oxford Comma Included

When Sonic Frontiers launched last year, gamers were skeptical about it. Years of questionable 3D Sonic games will do that to you. However, it did win over a lot of Sonic fans. For those people, there is good news concerning new content.

According to Sega, there are at least three waves of DLC coming out this year. The first wave is coming this week called Sights, Sounds, and Speed. It includes a photo mode, juke box, and challenge modes. While there weren’t many details on this update when it was announced, we now have a better idea of what is in store.

Sonic Frontiers

Photo Mode is pretty simple. Run around and capture your best landscape or action shots and affect the visuals. With the Juke Box, you can select from up to 53 of your Sonic favorite tracks. They are a collection of tunes from Sonic Frontiers, as well as past Sonic games. The update launches with 13 tracks, but you can collect more by picking them up from around the five islands.

There are two types of challenges in the Challenge Mode. In Cyber Space Challenge Mode, Sonic will have to complete multiple Cyber Space stages back-to-back as fast as he can. In Battle Rush Mode, Sonic will face increasingly difficult waves of enemies. You will encounter common enemies, Guardians, and Titans.

Sights, Sounds, and Speed will be coming out on March 22nd and will be available on all supported platforms. Sonic Frontiers is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
