60 FarCrys Per Second
We may have moved beyond the sixth game in the series by now, but Ubisoft has pushed a new update for Far Cry 5. This month is the 5 year anniversary of the game’s release and Ubisoft is celebrating it with a little incentive to play the game.
Right now, if you play on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, the game will run at 60 fps. Far Cry 5 does not have a native upgrade from PS4/Xbox One, but it will still have increased frame-rate when played through backwards compatibility.
What’s more is that the game will have a free weekend from March 23rd to March 27th. It is the perfect opportunity to try out this update, especially if you have not played this installment. March 27th is also the release date anniversary.
You’ve been waiting long enough… Welcome to Hope County!
Experience Far Cry 5 in native 60 FPS – available for PS5 & Xbox Series consoles … NOW!#FarCry5 will also have a FREE WEEKEND from March 23-27 on all consoles & PC.
Enjoy!#FarCry5Anniversary

While each Far Cry game is independent of each other, the villain of Far Cry 5, Joseph Seed returns in Far Cry 6. Along with the villains from 3 and 4, Joseph is featured in DLC delving into the minds of each character.
This game also has three DLC episodes. Each focuses on a different character met in the base game and has a standalone story. Far Cry 5 is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
