Make ‘Em Blast Themselves
You got the fastest ship around. You can outmaneuver any enemy that you run into. Of course, you’re going to have to dodge them the best you can to destroy them. Today Thunderful and Digital Kingdom are happy to announce the release of their arcade, dodge em’ up, action game, Swordship to the Epic Games Store and GOG.com. Flying through the post-apocalypse, Swordship invites players to a twist to the classical arcade shooter. A press release provides more details on the game. Furthermore, fans can check out the launch trailer from a few months ago for a glimpse of the game.
Swordship introduces players to a post-apocalyptic world. As a result of global warming, most of humanity has been relocating to three giant underwater cities. Sadly, many have been banished, left to die, in the outside world. However, you are one of the brave pilots willing to steal from the cities, and bring hope and life to those on the outside. Of course, you have your trusty Swordship. Choosing from a variety of Swordship variants, players will face off against various enemies in procedurally generated levels. Furthermore, players will choose from various upgrades that fit their individual playstyles.
Importantly, players will learn to use their enemies against themselves. Dodging, weaving, and speeding through enemy fire to make sure that the ships destroy one another while you complete your mission. Check out the action in the release trailer from a couple months back.
Swordship is out now on Epic Games Store and GOG.com. Additionally the game is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation consoles. So, are you ready for the action pilot?
