Thanks to recent updates that changed the leveling system in Final Fantasy XI, players can max out their character in no time. As long as you follow the perfect leveling method, you will be able to earn a lot of experience points. In this FFXI leveling guide, you will learn about some of the best locations for each leveling phase.
Leveling Tips
Before you start the leveling journey in FFXI, activate the trust request for added benefit. You also have to get some gear, such as a destrier beret, to increase experience points. Records of Eminence also come in handy in the leveling. You can unlock the records of eminence without much effort. To get good experience points and FF11 Gil, you will need to complete limited-time objectives the most, so don’t miss them. Vanquish undead and similar quests are prime examples of these limited-time quests.
Level 1 to 10
Gustaberg and Sarutabaruta RonfaFFXI Gilure
These zones are for kicking off the leveling season. They are near the main city, and you should use experience points boosters before going there. At the start, fight against enemies who are level three or less. If you keep killing these enemies consistently, you can reach character level ten in around ten minutes or less.
Level 11 to 20
Gushen Mines
Gushen mines require characters with blunt and magic damage. Once you are there, start attacking skeletons only. Don’t ignore your health bar and try to evade if the health reaches the yellow spot. If the health is already below the yellow spot, blood aggro will start to build, and it causes sudden death.
Valkurm Dunes
In Valkurm Dunes, use page one of the field of valor to get rid of dangerous lizards. This area also has some goblins who will appear out of nowhere and kill you with deadly damage. Valkurm dunes are a vast area and feature enemies that provide players with a good amount of XP. For players who have a high-level character, they can even kill damselflies and crabs using the third page of a field of valor.
Level 30 to 45
Qufim Island
If you are on pages three, four, and five of training, you can kill Gigas, acrophies, clippers, and great pugil for leveling. When killing these, if you have a character with level thirty, you will face some difficulties, but everything becomes easy after you level the character to thirty-three. Avoid cermet walls and all the nearby weapons because of the magic aggro effect.
East Ronfaure
The east Ronfaure zone is called the wings of the goddess. In Ronfaure, you need the experience sigil. Ladybugs and colibris are in masses here, and they are easy to kill. For buff, don’t consume any food because it can be stolen by enemies.
Level 45 to 55
Escha ZiTah
After completing the roar of the lion, keep going into the Rhapsodies of VanaDiel to get a boost of experience points. Kill worms and Eschen Crawlers with the said boost in this area. Start by killing worms and switch to crawlers once you are comfortable with them. For difficult times, keep the silence and dispel abilities in the arsenal.
Bostaunieux Oubliette
The Bostaunieux Oubliette is located in the sewer, and it features funnel bats and Werebats as the main source of experience points. Use the second-page training for killing these bats. You should use the sneak strategy to level up here. Look out for the dangerous hound ability because it builds up the blood aggro.
Level 55 to 65
Kuftal Tunnel
Kuftal Tunnel features crabs and sand lizards which can be defeated with the help of page one of training. When you kill these enemies, this will cause sound or HP aggro. If you need good gear but are short on Gil, Buy FF11 Gil and buy the gear from the market.
Wajoam Woodlands
Wajoam Woodlands lets you level up your character by more than ten levels. Don’t forget to get the sanction from the white gate when starting the leveling process. Once you reach the outskirts of the city, the next step is to fight with Colibri. As mentioned above, these enemies can steal any buffs that you get from food, so don’t waste any food.
Levels 70 to 80
Zeruhn Mines
Zeruhn Mines can be dealt with pages three and five. There are no favorites here, so kill any enemy you see and travel deeper into the mines for more enemies. Enemies like bats and burrower worms give good experience points.
Escha ZiTah
Escha ZiTah is known for having snap weed, wasps, and Eschen Goobbue, which are great sources of experience points. Beware of the final sting ability of the wasp, especially if your health is low, because it will kill you.
Level 80 to 90
Dangruf Wadi
To maximize your leveling efforts in Dangruf Wadi, you should use the experience points boosting rings and gears like that. Get to page five of training as soon as possible. To reach level eighty-five in Dangruf Wadi, kill goblins and grubs in the first place. After you get rid of them, move to kill trimmers and gibbons with page eight training. With good gear and rings, you can easily upgrade the character to level ninety-three max in Dangruf Wadi.
Level 90 to 99
For this stage of leveling, Final Fantasy XI has many different spots, so you can pick the desired spots. These four training spots are my personal favorite for all the right reasons.
Ceizak Battlegrounds
Once you have the Ionis buff, proceed to Ceizak Battlegrounds and start fighting enemies once you are near the Blanched Mandragora. Keep fighting with enemies along with the coastline. You have to look for the Sleep effect AOE.
Gustav Tunnel
In the Gustav tunnel, you can save some time on goblins and skeletons by sneaking past them. Use the page eight training for this purpose once you reach the I-7, defeat boulders and Pygmytoise to get some good experience points and level up the character quickly.
Rala Waterways
If you are enjoying the Seekers of the Adoulin expansion, Rala Waterways is a good place to level your character to the max. Ionis also comes in handy in leveling at Rala Waterways. Depth walker crabs and barnacle crabs are in the hundreds here and can be defeated single-handedly. Look for those slimes, especially if you don’t have any magic abilities.
