Gate’s Closed for Xbox Users
Last week, we got news that Baldur’s Gate 3 would be coming out this Summer. That being said, Larian Studios also said that the Xbox Series X|S version would not be part of that launch. They are still working on it, but Xbox users will have to wait longer. PC and PlayStation players can secure their copy though.
If you want to check out what content comes with which edition, check it out. There is the standard edition (which is just the base game), Digital Deluxe Edition, and Collector’s Edition. The Digital Deluxe Edition comes with early access to Act 1, Exclusive in-game Dice Skin, Divinity Bard Song Pack, Treasures of Rivellon Pack, and Adventurer’s Pouch. It also comes with a digital OST, artbook, and character sheets.
PS5 users can download the OST, artbook, and character sheets from the Baldur’s Gate 3 website with an account. The in-game exclusive dice skins are also different depending on the platform you play on.
The Collector’s Edition is packed. It comes with a Mindflayer vs Drow Diorama, a hardcover artbook, a Tadpole Keyring, a metal D20, a physical set of character sheets for each of the origin characters, a set of 32 stickers, a digital copy of Baldur’s Gate 3, a cloth map of Faerun, a MTG booster card pack, and a Collector’s Edition certificate. All of that is included, plus the Digital Deluxe Edition content.
The Collector’s Edition is a pricey $260, but with all that stuff, it will be worth it to hardcore fans. Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming out on August 31st for PC and PS5. As mentioned above, the Xbox Series X|S version is on the way, but no word of its release.
