Make a Song for a Cyberpunk 2077 Contest to Get it Featured in the Game

Last month, CD Projekt RED revealed some solid plans for Cyberpunk 2077. Phantom Liberty will be the first major expansion for the game, coming out sometime in 2023. In preparation for this DLC, CDPR is having a contest. If you enter, you can have your work actually featured in the game when the DLC comes out.

The contest is an original song competition. Contestants can submit music and between 12-15 songs will be chosen to be in the game. When Phantom Liberty is available, there will be new areas, new story, new characters, new everything. This includes new music; a new radio station, specifically. Growl FM will be made up entirely of fan-created music.

There are several DOs and DON’Ts when making your song. Many things should be obvious, such as no hate speech in your song and no samples of copyrighted music. Submissions should be between 2 and 3 minutes long. Contestant can make any genre of music with vocals or without.

There are some more specific rules and stipulations. For instance, if your entry is selected, CDPR basically owns it. However, there is a prize other than just having your song in the game. Each winner gets a goodie bag with items including a Cyberpunk 2077 statue, which was exclusive to the Collector’s Edition. It also has a cash prize of $3,000.

The contest runs from today until the last day of November. Winners will be announced by the end of January 2023. Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
