Striking Distance Studios Shows Off Callisto Protocol In Demo and Trailer
Krafton Inc along with Striking Distance Studios recently announced the release date for their upcoming horror title, The Callisto Protocol. The companies confirmed that the game will be releasing on December 2nd. It will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Today, at the Summer Games Fest, Striking Distance Studios used the time to show off the game with some additions to the trailer and a two-minute long gameplay demo.
Today, the companies revealed the Schofield Cut which showed off thirty extra seconds of gameplay from the trailer. The trailer gives fans an insight into some brutal new combat, with particular focus on Jason Lee, the game’ hero. Furthermore, Striking Distance Studios showed off a new two-minute gameplay demo. It included never before seen gameplay. The demo gives fans an insight into the game’s raw gameplay loop. It seems eerily similar to Dead Space.
In the game, Jacob Lee is in a maximum security penitentiary. Soon enough, the prisoners turn into monsters and chaos ensues. Players must utilize close quarters combat and specialized tactics to avoid monsters while levelling up their skills, abilities and gear. Along the way, players will be able to explore isolated environments, learn dark secrets and experience a scary, heart pounding story. The Callisto Protocol should be on the list for any horror fans as it might just become the modern day Dead Space.
