Epic Games Store Now Has Ratings And Polls In New Update
Epic Games Inc. is one of the biggest video game companies in the world. The company has been involved in the release of various major titles such as Fortnite, Gears of War and Fall Guys. Furthermore, the company deals with the Unreal Engine and more. In 2018, it released the Epic Games Store, a new hub for PC gamers to purchase games. Today, the company released a new update for the Epic Games Store introducing ratings and polls to improve the customer experience.
Users can now provide feedback to the Epic Games Community on various titles and it will create a better experience for all involved. In the ratings systems, users will be asked to give points between one to five after playing a game for two hours. Over time, the scores will be compiled to provide an ‘Overall Rating’.
Additionally, at the end of a play session, players may be asked to respond to a poll. The questions may be quite broad and over time, it will generate tags. Players will be able to view the tags to filter games and apps through the store and populate various categories.
Many users will be pleased to see the changes introduced to the Epic Games Store to make it more user friendly. Since its release, many have found the platform to be anti-consumer, however Epic is making strides to improve that.
What are your thoughts on the Epic Games Store? Do you use it? Are you against using it? If so, why? Do you think it is anti-consumer in nature?
