Welcome to a haunting, brutal, world full of beauty and violence. Today, Megusta Game and Neowiz announced an official release date for their upcoming ARPG, Unsouled. The game will be arriving on multiple platforms April 27th, 2022 with pixel art style and combative flare.Â
Unsouled introduces players into a action-full pixel world where combat is everything. You are a prince capable of absorbing the power of slain foes, and there are a lot of foes. Featuring enemies that react to the player character, and fast paced, combo-centric combat, Unsouled is aiming to bring a new level of gameplay to the ARPG genre. Featuring a need for attention to timing and expert mastery of controls. Players will battle across five distinct areas that all fit into the larger world of Unsouled. Of course, each of these areas will contain different enemies that you will need to learn how to combat and overcome. Additionally, fighting the foes you will face is not without reward. As you fight you will collect passive and active souls that can change skills, give you new ones, or upgrade the skills you already have.Â
The combat of Unsouled revolves around unique combo, and skill mechanics. For instance, timing on counterattacks, the abyss system, and combo inputs are all equally important to a great warrior. Furthermore, learn how to chain combos together to create devastating attacks and mix-and-match them to learn your favorites. Â
