Halo Infinite’s Upcoming Update Targets Anti-Cheat and Much More

Halo Infinite launched late 2021 and was one of the most highly anticipated games of the year. Halo being free on PC and Xbox platforms with cross play is a dream for most gamers. The game was well received and many were happy with the product. 343 Industries, the development team behind the title, have announced that the game’s mid-season update will attempt to improve a lot of major aspects of the game. These include networking, stability, performance and the anti-cheat. The team is also hopeful for a release on Thursday, February 23rd, 2022.

In terms of Networking and the issue of desync, the team has been working on improving the issue and receiving data to target it. The goal is to improve the online experience and reduce rubber banding. Additionally, the developers will make improvements to the campaign experiences as well as first-person animations.

The anti-cheat is one of the biggest aspects of Halo Infinite, given that its free to play. The developers took note of that and will improve it over time. Furthermore, there will be some more updates to stability and performance on both consoles and PC over the next few updates. Fans are asked to submit a ticket of any complaints to help the team. Moreover, the range of the Motion Tracker in Big Team Battle will be increased from 18m to 24m.

There are a lot more upgrades, improvements and updates coming to Halo Infinite over the next few weeks. 343 Industries and Microsoft are clearly dedicated to the franchise.
