Risk of Rain 2 Launches New Character From The Void

The void has sent a marksman to join the battle. That’s right Hopoo Games’ dynamic 3rd person shooter roguelike, Risk of Rain 2, has announced its very first DLC. A press release about the DLC, Survivors of the Void, provides details about the games’ first DLC character, as well as info about new features coming with the DLC. 

Risk of Rain 2 is a unique roguelike game in which players select one of several different characters. Each character has unique abilities and ways to upgrade them to make each run different depending on which character is you choose. You advance through different stages fighting waves of enemies and confronting increasingly difficult bosses. With various branching pathways that lead to different stages and different fights, it may feel like there is always more to discover. 

However, now there is even more. The Survivors of the Void DLC introduces the games’ first new character: The Railgunner. This character offers a faster, more focus-type playstyle. Using her M99 sniper rifle the Railgunner puts players into the role of deadly accuracy that rewards them differently. Players will gain increased damage for hitting reload skill checks. In addition concussion devices and supercharging her weapon offer her lethality at range.

Alongside the Railgunner is a host of new content. Additional enemies, items, and more await players. 

So, with all of this players need only wait until March 1st, 2022 for PC. Console versions of the DLC will release at a later date.
