Packed December Update Comes to Spire of Sorcery
Spire of Sorcery, the turn-based party RPG with dark mechanics, is getting a major update today. This update brings a new story mode, an upgraded encounter interface, tweaks in the spell book and more.
Spire of Sorcery is an RPG built on a system of tokens. This allows players to combine spellcasting, alchemy and equipment to use on the environment and opponents. Players control a party of runaway mages who must help the sentient magical citadel fix Rund, a broken world.
These mages band together on this quest and will use their spells, alchemy and gear to confront their enemies and increase their power. Players will have to take their personalities into account as well as they make their way through the game.
The main focus of this update is the addition of Spire of Sorcery’s story mode. Chapter 1 is the first of three chapters to come to the game. All maps will be handmade and feature unique visuals, creatures and objects. Chapter 1 includes three separate stories. Players will have to make decisions in each story that will ultimately impact the game’s final outcome.
In addition, the December update bring changes to the encounter interface. Players will find a less cluttered screen and that characters stats have received a facelift. There is also a new spell book interface after some tweaking. Players will also notice general visual improvements that reflect the player’s decisions.
Following a long development road, Spire of Sorcery is currently available on Steam Early Access, with the full version expected before the end of 2022. This major December update is the next big step in the game’s development and is available today. If magic RPGs are your thing, then check out the game’s Steam page today.
