But These New Editions to the ps5 Will Not Be Found Everywhere
So PlayStation 5 is still evasive as ever, with shortages about. But that doesn’t stop the latest hardware from coming out for the PlayStation 5. It looks like they will be coming out with three new colors, adding to the red and black options that are currently out for wireless controllers. The colors are known as Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple, and will start coming out in January 2022.
There will also be matching PlayStation 5 covers in the respective Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple colors as well, so if you need to match, you can. While the covers are sold separately from the PS5s, it is possible to snap off the regular white covers for something a little brighter, or darker, in your life. But it looks like these covers will not be coming out all at the same time. Nor will they be sold everywhere. Instead, the PS5 covers of black and red will be sold only in the following locations by select retailers: Â USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, and the Philippines. Those who really want pink, blue, or purple for their PS5s will have to wait until later in the year 2022, which is said to be in the first half of the year- so anywhere from January until June.
And too, while this is when the PlayStation 5 covers will be premiering, they may not be for sale locally; it’s best to check with possible retailers in the area before going for the hunt in person.
That’s also something to keep in mind too if you want a controller. Apparently, while the DualSense wireless controllers in purple will be coming out on January 14, that’s only if you live in the US, UK, France, or Germany. Everywhere elsewhere it’s possible to buy, they will have to wait until February 11. There’s no reason given as to why there is a nearly a month-long difference for other countries, other than they want to make sure to filter people through buying from PlayStation directly before offering the product to other retailers.
Because they also have a delay on the PlayStation 5 covers. It will be possible to get the covers in black or red through the site on January 21, but from other retailers starting February 18th. There’s been no price given for the covers, and there has been no USD price given for the new controllers.
The color options are fun though, and it does mean that there will be no need to buy a new console for a new look. It was difficult enough to get the PlayStation 5 as it was.
