Skul: The Hero Slayer’s Development Blog Highlights Upcoming Changes
Skul: The Hero Slayer was developed by Southpaw Games. Players must venture though a fast-paced world with over 100 playable characters. Each character has its own unique abilities, skills and more. Skul: The Hero Slayer released in January, 2021, and has received many updates since then. The developers have now released their seventh development blog discussing upcoming changes.
In the blog, the developers apologize for their late update. The developers go further to indicate that they are hiring more staff to continue to develop Skul. The focus in this blog update is on skulls. The developers will try to improve skulls to make the game better.
The Yaksha, an early game skull, will be reworked to be more challenging. Yaksha will also return to his true form, Rakshasa in the Domain of the Wicked. The developers have considered concept, fun and efficiency in making skulls more fun. Therefore, changes have been made to the Ghoul including its basic attack and digesting chunks of flesh.
Water Skulls were not good in efficiency or control and so, the developers made changes to its basic attacks and waves. Finally, the developers felt that combining physical and magic attacks didn’t work as intended. As such, they made the change to Piercing Shot’s attack. Additionally, other changes will be made to improve hybrid plays.
The developers closed by noting that they will continue to adjust skulls to ensure they are fun, balanced and efficient.
For interested fans, Skul: The Hero Slayer is currently on sale on Steam at a price of $13.99USD.
