Fear Evolved Begins Today
It is time to celebrate Haloween with Ark Survival Evolved’s 5th Fear Evolved Haloween event. I don’t play Ark, so I’m not sure what this event usually entails, but I assume it is mostly comedy by going off the trailer. I certainly didn’t get any spooky vibes.
You can get yourself a should companion as you go hunting for the DodoRex and DodoWyvern. Players can go hunting for all the past Fear Evolved content while looking for five new spooky themed chibis, two new full-body skins, and four new shirt prints to add to your growing collection.
Players will be able to get the following chibis this year: Witching Owl, Ghost Direwolf, Ghost Basilisk, Ghost Rex, and Ghost Mantis.
The Fear Evolved event will run from October 26th to November 9th. The event is active on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Noticeably, not the Switch version. Don’t worry though, it is active on Google Stadia.
Full body skins include the Strawman and Skeleton costumes. If you really want to get in the Halloween mood, you can also get a new Halloween Shirt, choosing from Skelly, Tentacle, ZombDodo, and Zombie Wyvern Prints.
I never got much into Ark Survival Evolved or any survival game, so I don’t know how well regarded this event usually is. They keep doing it, though, so I assume the fans enjoy it. The trailer just kind of left me confused as it doesn’t really tell you anything about the event. It just features a dude dancing, and then he is attacked by a skeleton. It is hard to be creeped out by a normal human skeleton in a game that features big dinosaurs.
