Insomniac’s Wolverine Confirmed to be “Full size, mature tone”

Wolverine’s Game Details Confirmed by Top Insomniac Dev

Only a brief trailer of Insomniac Game’s new Wolverine game has been released, but new details concerning the game’s nature have been announced.  Yesterday, Brian Horton, Creative Director at Insomniac Games, announced what to expect from the Wolverine game.

In a quick tweet, Brian Horton responded to one person’s question “Is it a big or a ‘miles morales’ size game” with the quick four-word response “Full size, mature tone.”  This confirms that despite Insomniac working on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 at the same time, Marvel’s Wolverine will be as equally of a complete game.

In addition, the “mature tone” alleviates some concerns that Insomniac would perhaps try to censor some of the gore or darker elements associated with Wolverine in order to appeal to a wider audience of Marvel fans.  As Marvel’s Spider-Man was rated as “PEGI 16,” it is a relief to know that Wolverine may be rated a bit more for adults.

Marvel’s Wolverine was first announced in the recent Playstation Showcase as a quick teaser.  In the teaser, Wolverine is shown to be in a bar after a fight, readying his claws as the last guy walks up to attack him.
