Early Access and Beta Launch Dates Shifted Along With Game
After the recent delay of Battlefield 2042 to November 19th, 2021, the early access to the game is now confirmed to be a week earlier. In addition, the beta launch date will be announced later this month.
A day ago, EA announced that the launch of Battlefield 2042 would be delayed nearly a month, to November 19th. As the official news post confirmed, “We’ve made the decision to shift the launch of Battlefield 2042. The game will now be released worldwide on November 19th, 2021.” The post went on to explain that this was due to challenges created by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Now, the Lead Community Manager at EA Studios has confirmed that early access for people who have purchased the Gold and Ultimate Editions will start a week earlier than the official release of the game. The specific date is set to be on November 12th, though the exact time is unknown. In addition, the open beta start date will be announced later this month: “New dates for the Open Beta will be shared later this month” stated the community manager in one tweet. More details were released surrounding exactly when the open beta date would be announced: “We likely won’t share those dates today, or tomorrow – and I’ll give you further heads up next week.”
All in all, a quick delay doesn’t seem to be too big of a deal, especially if it leads to a much better game.
