Small Town Charm
Life Is Strange: True Colors will be coming out in a less than two months. Fans will soon be in the shoes of Alex Chen and living her new life in Haven Springs. In a new trailer, we have our returning character, Steph Gingrich giving us a short introduction to the town.
Steph highlights the local digs, like the Black Lantern tavern and the record store/radio station, Rocky Mountain Record Traders. There are also local events in Haven Springs, such as Steph’s Live Action Roleplay Fantasy Spectacular and the Spring Festival.
The trailer makes Haven Springs sound like a living, breathing place, so I hope that players get to explore the town and experience these places in deeper ways than it would be possible in previous games. Areas in the first Life Is Strange game were only accessible in certain parts of certain chapters, so a more open world-style would compliment these interesting places in True Colors.
Exploring Main Street looks like something fans should be able to fully experience and it would be great if we could revisit the arcade mini-games whenever we wanted. Though that would seem unlikely if True Colors’ gameplay does not evolve from the previous games.
Regardless of whether the gameplay changes or not, Life Is Strange fans are bound to enjoy True Colors when it launches, or rather when all the episodes eventually come out. Life Is Strange: True Colors will be coming out on September 10th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia, and Nintendo Switch.
