Hype
As the pandemic hit the world last year, fans have been starved of their yearly video game showcases where they could enjoy the latest announcements, create hype, get sneak peeks into upcoming releases and view even the shortest of trailers that might just make them happy, like Elder Scrolls VI. As the pandemic’s impact is still felt across various countries, many showcases have decided to go digital to provide fans with the latest updates and announcements in video games, while keeping everyone safe. Though the shift is a bit disappointing, any amount of fan fare is amazing given the times. In 2021, there will be a host of showcases streaming digitally including EA Play Live and of course, e3, the biggest video game showcase. Today, the folks over at Microsoft announced that on 13th June, Xbox and Bethesda Games Software will host its own digital showcase!
In a release by Aaron Greenberg, General Manager, Xbox Games Marketing, Microsoft indicated that on Sunday 13th June at 10A.M. PT, Xbox and Bethesda Studios will join forces to stream their showcase. The showcase will focus on games from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda Game Studios and other game creators and partners around the world. As Microsoft has expanded its portfolio in recent years with major acquisitions and mergers, the possibilities for game announcements and news is endless.
Mr. Greenberg went on to state “You’ve told us how excited you are about welcoming Bethesda into the Xbox family, so we know you’re going to want a front-row seat to the Xbox & Bethesda Games showcase – a 90-minute show packed with everything you want to know about the epic gaming lineup coming out of this partnership, the incredible games coming to Xbox this holiday, upcoming releases on Xbox Game Pass, and more.”
Furthermore, the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase will be available in a variety of ways including Twitter, Twitch, Facebook and Youtube, at the official Xbox page.
