Sega Officially Announces Lost Judgement With Confirmed Release Date

Back to the World of Judgement

Sega has many interesting IP’s under its umbrella, including Total War, Football Manager and its most popular as of recent times, Yakuza. Sega held its ‘Judgement Day’ Livestream today and officially announced that its Yakuza team, the Ryu ga Gotoku Studio, is currently working on a sequel to the company’s 2018 release, Judgement. Judgement is an action-adventure video game that was originally a spin-off to the Yakuza series and followed the journey of lawyer-turned-detective Takayuki Yagami who was required to investigate various corpses with their eyes removed. Players went on an enticing journey to fight alongside allies against the thugs and the Yakuza and solve mysteries, puzzles and more. The gameplay style is very reminiscent of the Yakuza series and fans will be able to easily adjust. The sequel, Lost Judgement, will offically launch on September 24th on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. There has been no news of a PC version just yet, however given Sega’s track record with Yakuza, Judgement may arrive on the PC sometime after the initial launch.

Judgment

Yakuza series executive director Toshihiro Nagoshi stated that the game will expand on Yagami’s story and is set in Kamurocho in Tokyo and Yokohama. The developers have promised that the new setting will offer an expansive world to explore and a compelling story with endearing storylines that is bound to keep players engaged. Furthermore, Lost Judgement’s high school setting will offer detailed classrooms, gyms and faculty rooms. The graphical capability of the game’s engine and important features were not skimped on. Yagami’s combat skills will also be given a facelift and Yagami will have to interact with random NPC’s across the game to fulfill his side missions, which will be fresh and fun.

The game will feature both Japanese and English language tracks catering to player preference as well as subtitles in French, Italian, German and Spanish. The standard and deluxe editions of Lost Judgement are currently available for pre-order digitally.
