Hopefully You Signed Up
Blizzard has announced that the first Alpha test run for Diablo 2: Resurrected is happening this weekend! Savvy players who signed up for said closed Alpha are a handful of days away from actually playing this hotly anticipated remaster! If you didn’t sign up beforehand, then this news is just cruel.
This ‘technical Alpha’ will run from when you get that invite until April 12th. ‘You’ in this case is a pretty small handful of players selected from those who signed up for the Alpha. There will be three classes available, no multiplayer, and no level cap. That means if you’ve got no other plans, you could max out a character! I mean, you won’t, but someone will surely try.
Anyone lucky enough to get a little time with the Barbarian, Amazon, or the Sorceress will do so in glorious 4K (hardware permitting) and Dolby surround sound. Beyond those and a few other upgrades, this is Diablo 2 as we all remember it. You can still head to the official website and opt in to all future Alphas, Betas, and so on. Given that the current release window is this year, here’s hoping that what we see this weekend is close to complete, or at least within sight of the finish line.
