Peace Was Never an Option
Until the most recent games in the Worms series, players have experienced a slow, tactical, turn-based game. Worms Rumble has flipped that on its head by delivering a real-time PvP Worms game with as many players as possible. The game launched late last year with a few different game modes including a battle royale, a free for all deathmatch, and a last team standing mode. Pretty standard multiplayer modes, but first time for a Worms game. Team17 has recently included a highly requested Team Deathmatch mode among the others.
While the Deathmatch mode is a solo game and Last Team Standing is a squad battle royale mode, Team Deathmatch has elements of both, as if you’ve never heard of Team Deathmatch before. The maps in the game are usually quite large, to accommodate all the action, but Team Deathmatch games will take place in smaller areas of the bigger maps. The edges of these areas will be surrounded by the storm that is seen in Last Worm Standing, to contain the battles, but every worm will be able to respawn and jump right back into the fight like in solo Deathmatch. The standard team sizes for this mode is 12 worms for both sides.
In celebration of this mode being officially launched, Team17 is holding a double XP weekend, which will end on Monday. Worms Rumble is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5.
