Okay, but Anime Opening When?
Netflix has got The Witcher content on lock. There is the main series show, the prequel mini-series, and now the anime movie. Season 2 of The Witcher is currently in production, but right now there is no release date or window for The Witcher: Blood Origin or The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, which is the recently announced anime film. Not much is known about it, but hey, they got a logo now. Netflix released a short teaser, which has a wolf’s head, but it slowly decays and wears away into a dope, scarred skull.
The wear and tear transformation of the logo is more than just a cool effect. Netflix has confirmed that Nightmare of the Wolf will not follow Geralt of Rivia, but Vesemir instead. Vesemir is a Witcher like Geralt, but much older and like a father figure to Geralt and the other Witchers. Again, we do not know too much about it other than 1. Anime and 2. Vesemir. Kim Bodina has been cast as Vesemir in the live-action show, set to debut in Season 2, but it is not known if he will also be voicing Vesemir in Nightmare of the Wolf. Will the show and the film be connected?

Studio Mir will be handling the animations in the film. They have also worked on The Legend of Korra, Mortal Kombat: Scorpion’s Revenge, and The Death of Superman. Blood Origin and Nightmare of the Wolf are probably a little ways away, so in the meantime, we will try to keep up with all things related to The Witcher tv series and when there is news to share, we’ll be there to echo it. The Witcher is currently filming its second season.
