Hades Has Finally Added the Cross-Save Feature for Nintendo Switch

Transfer Your Save Data From PC to Switch and Back in Latest Update

Hades, the godly roguelike title by Supergiant Games has finally introduced the long awaited Cross-Saves feature. Well, it’s not too long awaited as the game only officially released for PC and Nintendo Switch this September, but seeing as the feature was originally planned to be available upon release, fans have been waiting for it since the game landed on the Nintendo console.

Well, three months after the release of version 1.0, Supergiant Games, or rather, Hermes himself, has announced that the Cross-Saves update is available now.

Players with both the Nintendo Switch version of the game, and either a Steam or Epic Games Store copy of the game, can now transfer their save files by connecting their Nintendo and Steam/Epic Games Store accounts. This is a great opportunity for anyone who doesn’t have the Nintendo Switch version of the game but is interested in playing it on the go without needing to start over.

Instructions are simple:

  1. Select the “Cross-Saves” option in the main menu in the Nintendo Switch version of the game
  2. Connect your Steam or Epic Games Account
  3. Done!

When you want to upload your save all you have to do is pause and quit.

The new Nintendo Switch update doesn’t just include the addition of the Cross-Saves feature, but also includes a variety of patches that were previously released for the PC version of the game. These patches include everything from visual and audio updates, bug fixes, and buffs and nerfs to boons, weapon aspects, upgrades, items, and more. You can view the full patch notes on either Supergiant Games’ website, or in the hades-patch-notes section in the company’s discord.

Wondering whether or not you should pick up a copy of Hades? Well, the game was recently nominated for 8 Game Awards, and even won Best Indie Game and Best Action Game. You can check out our review of the game here.
