Nintendo Has Announced the Best Selling Indie Games of 2020

Best Selling on Nintendo Switch at Least

Since its release in March, 2017, the Nintendo Switch has been the go to place for indie games–at least on console. Unsurprisingly, 2020 saw the release of many incredible indie game titles on the handheld/console hybrid. Today, Nintendo released on their Indie World Twitter account, and on their official Nintendo YouTube channel, a short video containing this year’s best-selling indie game titles.

The Indie World Twitter account was made by Nintendo of America as an outlet for all the latest news and updates for Indie games on the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has clearly taken it upon themselves to make an effort to promote Indie games on the consoles, between the Indie World Twitter page, and the Indie World Showcases the company releases throughout the year.

The latest video posted to the Twitter page runs about 3 minutes long and includes a variety of indie titles that really struck a wave with players on the Nintendo Switch this year.

After a short montage of different indie titles, the first notable mention is Supergiant Game’s hellish roguelike, Hades. Some other major titles shown throughout the video include Moon Studios’s Ori and the Will of the Wisps, The Jackbox Party Pack 7, Streets of Rage 4, and Phobia Game Studio’s Carrion.

The full list of games highlighted in the video can be seen here:
