The First Official Poké Ball Replica Series Looks Fantastic

Die-Cast Poké Ball Replica, We Choose You!

Pokemon’s 25th anniversary is coming up fast, and The Pokemon Company International and The Wand Company have announced something awesome to celebrate. Okay, so it’s not necessarily being marketed as part of the anniversary celebration. It’s coming out in 2021, so it still counts. This collaboration will give rise to the first-ever Die-Cast Poké Ball Replica Series. You know what that means! Soon, you’ll be able to buy your very own Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, or Premier Ball. They light up, they sense when your hand comes close, and they come with a little moving stand! It’s gonna be awesome. Just check out this teaser video for proof.

The button will glow when it senses motion, and if you press it, you can change the color or trigger a Pokemon-catching light sequence. Each Poké Ball will come with a presentation case–identified by a uniquely-numbered hologram–and a polished stainless steel ring. You can use these items to display and protect the Ball itself. All joking aside, that’s a good thing, because it doesn’t get much more iconic than the Poké Ball. Even the people who worked on it agree.

“The Poké Ball is an iconic part of the Pokémon franchise, and we are thrilled to work with The Wand Company to re-create the Poké Ball as a high-quality collectible for our fans,” said Amy Sachtleben, director of licensing at The Pokémon Company International.

The Poké Ball replica is the first of the series to be available for preorder. Starting today, you can order it over Amazon and other participating retailers worldwide. If you preorder and all goes well, you’ll get your very own Poké Ball on Pokémon Day, February 27, 2021. Just don’t throw it.
