CD Projekt Promises No More Cyberpunk Delays

Hand To God, Scout’s Honor, Etc

A recent investor call for CD Projekt revealed insistent promises that Cyberpunk 2077 will not be delayed any further. Twitter user JackJake compiled this, along with a smattering of other details, on their Twitter account. We’re in the optimization endgame now, according to the data gleaned from the investor call.

Other fun facts include the continued absence of a public beta, less than concrete plans for post-launch content, vague rumblings about the pre-order numbers, and any other projects CDPR is currently working on. As one would expect, it’s mostly just Cyberpunk, with a bit of resources set aside for the Witcher 3’s next-gen upgrade. Also there’s a Witcher mobile game happening at some point, if you go in for that sort of thing.

The breakdown provided by JackJake makes two separate claims that all the delays are behind us. One of them is tied to the marketing campaign that’s been put in place for the release. Like the game itself, this mammoth engine has begun its march. Any more tapping on the brakes would cause the whole damn thing to collapse, more or less. With both next-gen consoles hovering over the landing strip for the last couple of months, we need at least one big thing to come out when it’s supposed to. Cyberpunk 2077 is set for release on November 19th, 2020 for the PS4, PC, and the Xbox One.
